400th Anniversary
of Shakespeare’s Death
Poster made for the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
We choose a quote made by 2 verses from the sonnet 66. The sonnet is about how the poet sees in the world and the arrangements of society so many things abnormal and awry, that, in his weariness and loathing, he cries out for death, though unwilling to leave his friend.
The quote is [And guilded honour shamefully misplaced/ And maiden virtue rudely strumpeted], according to my personal view of the quote meaning I was trying to represent a composition with luxurious or precious items arranged or converted into a messy or corrupted scene. I was inspired by mixing the Art-Deco and Punk graphic aesthetics. This is achieved by breaking the types and inspiring the arrange of the composition by the punk style.
